Growing up on the Central Coast of California, I have been so lucky to continuously be inspired by nature and the community around me. Everywhere I go I find inspiration and I use that to help create unique, one of a kind pieces.
Before I discovered macrame, I had always loved creating art, whether it was drawing, ceramics or just crafting with my children. So how did I happen upon macrame??? I got my master's degree in Clinical Psychology but after a few years of pursuing all the hours I needed to obtain my license, I realized that I just wasn't happy with the path I had chosen. I was too tired and emotionally drained to play with my own children, so I knew I needed to change my career. Thankfully, I have a supportive husband and family who helped me through the transition. I now currently run an estate sale company (Central Coast Estate Liquidators) which is so fun and I'm constantly learning and meeting interesting people, but I was still missing that creative outlet. One day while scrolling through Instagram I saw this beautiful piece of art made by Gabby of Family Threads and I was hooked! I thought, I need this art form in my life. Slowly, I began to teach myself macrame and continue to learn and grow. I'm so thankful that I discovered fiber art. It is such a meditative and creative escape and it was exactly what was missing! I love combing the beaches for driftwood and creating the perfect macrame to match. From start to finish, each piece is made with a lot of thought and love. Thank you for supporting me and my journey.
